Spring Time!

I love that it is finally warming up in Salt Lake! Hopefully it will stay above... well even 60 and I will be happy! We moved in to our house in December, so we haven't really seen all of our fun plants and trees. They are not to the point they are sprouting flowers and the trees are blooming beautifully. I am so excited about it. So a little update; I went through some crazy auditions for the play. My first audition they had me sing my little thing, then they asked me to read the part of Maria, so naturally I did. They had me read the love seen in the gazebo opposite the director of the play, portraying Cpt. Von Trapp. That was weird... so they called me back for a second audition, but this time they wanted me to try out for Liesel, the 16 year old. Thats right, the SIXTEEN year old! Here I am almost 22. So I show up for the second audition and am surrounded by about 15 girls age 14-17 trying out for the same role. FOUR hours later, they have it narrowed down to the top three and I was still there. Unfortunatly for me, the boy I would have to kiss (hypothetically if I got the role) was 17! FYI, Dave will be 30 this year, so naturally I am getting a little weirded out at this point. So they send us home and the next day I get an offer for a different role as a nun. I am too old for Liesel and too young for Maria. I did, however, turn it down because they need me 3 nights a week plus some and I didn't want to do it that much, plus you have to pay to be a part of it. Yeah right! But I am volunteering at the hospital on Tuesday nights in the womens center. I am very happy about that!
